Our country is teetering on the edge of a cliff!
In May 2016, our new President handed the police a “license to kill” corrupt Filipinos from all walks of life! Since his election, around 1000 bodies a month are being found on the streets of the towns and cities of the Philippines. It is clear that some criminal elements are using this “license to kill” for their own ends.
Why are the people fed up despite the good showing of our economy under the governance of former President Benigno Aquino III? Although international financial reports paint a favourable picture, most of our people do not feel its effects.
We feel the economy has gone forward but the “feel good factor” has gone backward due to:
- Unchecked corruption in government,
- Worsening poverty,
- Widespread lawlessness and criminality,
- Illegal drug use,
- Break-up of families,
- Degradation of moral values, and
- Rampant disregard for life.
THEY LEAD TO LOSS OF LOVE AND RESPECT FOR OUR COUNTRY AND PEOPLE
WE NEED A BIG STEP FORWARD! WE NEED TO REFORM OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM.
